THE DANISH VIKING BAND

THE DANISH VIKING BAND from Ballerup, Denmark, is consisting of about 19 skilled musicians and singers.		In brief, festive and carnival mood is in the air, when THE DANISH VIKING BAND let themselves go. THE DANISH VIKING BAND has been on several predatory expeditions abroad and has among other things played at festivals in Germany, The Czech Republik, Austria, Greenland and Mèxico, where the band will be remembered due to its temperamental and colourful performances. In 1999 the band was visiting Tanzania, presenting street parades, shows and conserts and performing with local musicians.
The band has a large repertoire of many music styles: swing, latin, disco, a little rock, songs by ABBA and The Beatles, soft pop music, lilting tunes and some evergreens - all of it performed by good instrumental and vocal soloists, being in a cheerful and catchy mood, so that THE DANISH VIKING BAND could be the finishing touch on any musical and festive occassion. The band is dressed in richly coloured viking outfit, and it goes in parade through the streets, plays on street corners, in the dance hall, or performs shows and concerts.
